Although Google always try to give new look to its logo instead of keeping the same logo for a long. I use to observe Google’s logo, on this Christmas also Google change its logo but not in this type which they put this time
At last my curiosity increase to know more about this new logo. To know more about this I start searching, finally I came to know that Google made a new design to wish their visitors a “Happy New Year” in a different way, and (MMXl)  is nothing but “2011″ written in Latin and Roman numbers, where MM=2000 (M=1000) in Latin and XI= 11 in Roman language.
Google has added “G and E”  at the beginning and end to keep some letters of “Google” so that logo looks familiar. “what a innovative Idea Google” hats off to you.
Roman numeral system from the numeral system of ancient Rome. They are based on certain letters of the alphabet which are combined to signify the sum (or, in some cases, the difference) of their values.
1 to 10 Roman letters are:       I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII,VIII, IX and X.
So now I hope you guys also understand the idea behind this new logo is to Wish A New Year “G MMXI E 2011″
